Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Because CutOut AI operates strictly offline and on-device, we do NOT collect, store, sell, or transmit any of the following:

• No Image Uploads: Photos selected or edited in the app remain strictly in device memory and are never sent over the internet.
• No Facial Geometry or Biometric Data: Machine learning segmentation generates temporary alpha masks in local RAM to separate the subject from the background. No facial recognition, identity tagging, or biometric profiles are created or extracted.
• No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, or passwords.
• No Location Data: We do not request, access, or track GPS or network location coordinates.
• No Advertising Identifiers: We do not track Ad-IDs (GAID) or build behavioral advertising profiles.

2. Device Permissions Used & Why

CutOut AI only requests necessary device permissions to perform photo editing features you explicitly initiate:

• Photo Library / Media Images: Required only to allow you to select an image from your device gallery to erase its background or apply backdrops.
• Camera (Optional): Required only if you choose to snap a new photo directly inside the app for background cutout.
• Storage / Save to Gallery: Required to save your exported transparent PNG, passport ID photo, or edited image back into your device photo gallery upon your confirmation.

Permissions are requested at the moment you initiate the feature (runtime permissions) and can be revoked at any time via your Android device system settings.

3. Local Data Storage & Preferences

The app saves basic user preferences strictly in your device's local encrypted storage (via Android SharedPreferences):

• Your preferred default export format (PNG Transparent vs. JPEG).
• Lossless HD quality toggle state.
• Default sticker outline width and haptic feedback preference.
• Onboarding completion flag.

You can instantly reset all preferences and purge cached data anytime directly in Settings > Reset Studio Settings, or by clearing app storage in Android Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

CutOut AI does not integrate third-party ad networks, social trackers, or behavioral analytics SDKs. The only external interaction is:

• Google Play Store Services: Used to deliver official app updates and verify licensing through Google Play (subject to Google's Privacy Policy).

5. Children’s Privacy

CutOut AI is a general utility photo editing app and does not target or knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction), in compliance with COPPA and the Google Play Families Policy.

6. Security of Your Data

Because your images and edits never leave your physical device hardware, the primary security layer is your phone's operating system sandbox. We do not maintain any cloud databases, eliminating the risk of server-side data leaks or unauthorized third-party access.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this policy if new offline capabilities are introduced. Any updates will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp. Continued use of the app signifies your agreement to any revisions.
