All document scanning, auto edge detection, studio filters, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) run 100% locally on your device. 1. Overview and Core Principles

DocuScan Pro ("the app", "we", "our", or "us") provides a fast, portable document scanner. We believe your confidential contracts, financial receipts, identification documents, and notes belong solely to you. The app operates entirely offline without requiring user registration, email sign-ups, or remote cloud connectivity.

2. Permissions Requested and Purpose

DocuScan Pro requests only the minimal system permissions required to deliver document scanning and file export capabilities:

Camera Access (android.permission.CAMERA): Used strictly in real time to capture images of physical documents, receipts, and notes. Camera frames are processed directly in device volatile memory and are never uploaded or transmitted over any network.
Storage / Media Files (Scoped Storage): Used solely to allow you to import existing images from your gallery and to save your generated PDF files and images directly to your local device storage.

3. On-Device OCR & Computer Vision

All Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and document boundary detection algorithms execute locally on your smartphone using on-device machine learning models. Extracted text remains in your app's sandboxed local database and is never shared with third parties.

4. Advertising and Tracking

DocuScan Pro contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, zero behavioral analytics tracking, and zero tracking pixels. We do not track users across other apps or websites.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You maintain full control over all files and documents in the application:

All scans and custom folders are stored locally on your device.
Deleting a document inside DocuScan Pro permanently erases it from your device.
Uninstalling the app removes all associated application data.

6. Children's Privacy

DocuScan Pro does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Because no personal data is transmitted, the app is safe for users of all ages.

7. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Data Portability: You can export and share your scans at any time in standard PDF or PNG format.
