This Privacy Policy explains how Weyond ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with the VoiceLeaf: AI Voice Notes mobile application ("App") for Android.

2. Information We Access and Process

VoiceLeaf requests only the minimal device permissions strictly required to provide core note-taking and voice transcription features:

• Audio & Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used exclusively while you actively tap and record to capture spoken thoughts and convert speech into text. Audio recordings are processed for transcription and are stored strictly locally on your device. We do not continuously record or upload your background voice.
• Local Storage & Data: Your notes, transcripts, categories, reminders, and action checklists are stored locally on your device using secure local application storage.
• Notifications & Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used solely to alert you when your scheduled reminders or task deadlines are due.

3. Artificial Intelligence & Processing

VoiceLeaf utilizes intelligent note summarization and action-item extraction:

• On supported devices, AI structuring is processed using on-device models (SmolLM2).
• Your personal notes and private thoughts are never used to train public machine learning models.

4. Third-Party Sharing and Analytics

• No Advertising SDKs: VoiceLeaf contains no third-party ad networks (e.g. AdMob) and does not track you across other apps or websites.
• No Tracking / No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention & User Control

You have complete control over your data at all times:

• Export: You can export your notes and tasks directly from the Settings screen.
• Permanent Deletion: You can delete any note or task at any time, or use the "Clear All Local Data" button inside the App Settings to permanently wipe all stored data instantly from your device.
• Uninstalling the app immediately deletes all local app data from your device.

6. Security

We implement standard mobile security best practices to protect your data stored within the application container. Access to the app's internal sandbox is restricted by the Android operating system.

7. Children's Privacy

VoiceLeaf is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
