PolyTune
Your data

Privacy policy

How PolyTune: Precision Guitar Tuner & Tap-Tempo Metronome, published by idevali, handles your information.

Zero Data Collection Architecture

PolyTune is intentionally architected with a strict 100% offline, zero-data-collection guarantee. We do not collect, store, harvest, or transmit any personal data, device identifiers, IP addresses, location data, usage statistics, or telemetry.

Microphone and Real-Time Audio Processing

PolyTune requires access to your device microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) solely to function as a chromatic instrument tuner. Audio buffers are captured into volatile device memory (RAM) and analyzed in real time using the on-device YIN digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm to detect pitch and cents deviation.

Audio is never recorded, never saved to storage, and never transmitted over the internet. Each audio buffer is overwritten and immediately discarded as soon as its pitch is calculated.

Device Permissions

PolyTune requests only the minimal permissions necessary for instrument tuning:

Data Storage & Local Preferences

PolyTune stores only basic preferences locally on your device via standard Android Shared Preferences (such as chosen tuning preset, metronome BPM, and concert pitch calibration e.g. A4 = 440 Hz). This data never leaves your device and is erased if you uninstall the app or clear app data.

No Ads, SDKs, or Third-Party Services

PolyTune does not integrate with any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs:

Children's Privacy

PolyTune does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. It is fully compliant with COPPA and Google Play Families policies, providing a safe, advertisement-free musical utility for students and musicians of all ages.
