Frequently Asked Questions

Microphone Permission

PolyTune requires microphone access to detect musical frequencies. If the pitch needle is not responding, open your Android device Settings > Apps > PolyTune > Permissions and ensure Microphone access is allowed.

Concert Pitch Calibration (A4 = 440 Hz)

The standard reference pitch is set to A4 = 440 Hz by default. You can adjust this reference frequency in the app settings to alternative pitch standards such as 432 Hz or 442 Hz.

Tuning Presets

PolyTune supports Standard Guitar tuning (E A D G B E), Drop D, DADGAD, Open G, Open D, Half Step Down (Eb), Bass guitar, and Ukulele.
