Privacy policy

How Speedo HUD: GPS Speedometer & Windshield Display, published by idevali, handles your location telemetry and device information.

Zero Data Collection Architecture

Speedo HUD is intentionally designed and built with a strict 100% on-device processing and zero-data-collection guarantee. We do not harvest, track, sell, or transmit any personal data, device identifiers, IP addresses, location trails, or telemetry.

Real-Time GPS Telemetry

Speedo HUD requires device location permissions (android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) solely to calculate and render real-time vehicle speed (MPH, KM/H, KNOTS), compass heading, trip distance, altitude, and 0-60 MPH acceleration benchmark timing.

Location data is processed strictly in volatile device memory (RAM) and is never recorded to disk, never uploaded to the cloud, and never transmitted over the internet. Each GPS positional update is immediately overwritten by the next reading.

Device Permissions

Speedo HUD requests only the minimal permissions necessary for vehicle telemetry:

Data Storage & Local Preferences

Speedo HUD stores only basic user configuration locally on your device via standard Android Shared Preferences (selected speed unit, chosen AMOLED theme, overspeed alarm limit, and local trip odometer counters). This data remains strictly on your device and is wiped if you uninstall the app or clear app data.

No Ads, SDKs, or Third-Party Services

Speedo HUD contains zero third-party advertising, analytics, or behavioral trackers:

Children's Privacy

Speedo HUD does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. It is fully compliant with COPPA and Google Play Families policies, providing a safe, advertisement-free driving utility for all drivers.
